Frequently Asked Questions:
Is there a minimum printing quantity?
No, that's the beauty of DTG - we can print one shirt or one hundred!
What about a bulk discount?
Sure thing. Just send us an e-mail with all the necessary info. The Quote page contains a short list of things we need to know about your project.
How much can I expect to pay per print?
This depends on ink usage, which is dictated by the size of the artwork. For this reason, we need to see your artwork to accurately quote. Here follows a general guideline on small quantities.
Low to medium usage: R12-R40
Medium to heavy ink usage: R40-R130

Can you print to black or dark fabrics?
Unfortunately not. The colour of the fabric will always influence the colour of the print, so white garments work best, although pastel and brightly coloured textiles will also yield lovely results. For more information, please have a look at the CMYK Printing page.
How long do I have to wait for my masterpiece?
Standard turn-around time is two to five days, depending on how busy we are. If it's super urgent, we could make an exception. Because you're special.
Do you provide the garments?
On select quantities and certain jobs, we can supply t-shirts of good quality and general fit, but we will require a 60% deposit. On smaller runs of less than twenty shirts, you'll need to bring your own tees.
What should the quality of my artwork be like?
The better your artwork, the better the print. The DTG printer delivers photo-realistic results, so your artwork should have a resolution of at least 300dpi. Lower than that, and you might notice pixels, although it will still be printable. We will of course do our best to make your artwork look as good as possible. If your artwork is vectors (e.g text ) the print will always be crisp.
In which format should I supply my artwork?
We prefer JPEG files. However, PDF and CoralDraw 13 files are fine as long as the artwork is converted to paths/curves.
What is the maximum print size?
35cm wide x 40cm high
Which textiles deliver the best results?
Cotton or cotton blends
Is there any set-up costs?
No, provided your artwork is print-ready. If you want a simple text layout ("I went to Digi-T and all I got was this awesome shirt") we won't charge any set-up fees.
Does washing affect the print?
During the first wash the fibers of the material may lift, resulting in a colour loss of about 5% Thereafter the colour stabilises without further fading. After printing, each garment is heat pressed, which activates the ink's fusing agent and permanently bonds the ink to the fibers of the fabric. This results in sharp and vibrant prints that are soft to the touch and extremely durable.
